Who Can Apply?
Any individual who is a U.S. Citizen or resident may apply for employment. Upon appointment you must present two forms of identification, for example, original Social Security card or birth certificate and a picture ID. Non residents must present an alien registration card for employment eligibility.
If you served in the U.S. Armed Forces, you must submit a DD Form 214 Member 4 Copy.
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age to apply for a position. Applicants applying for Child Development and/or Youth Program positions must be at least 18 years old or older, and all qualifications as identified in the position guide must be included with the application.
How to apply
You may submit an application for Federal Employment OF 612, Declaration for Federal Employment OF 306, and NAF Supplemental Questionnaire for any position for which you qualify. A separate application must be submitted for each position you wish to apply. If submitting a resume, it must be attached to the application and must contain all the information that is required on the application. Photocopies of the application package are acceptable. Applications must specify the position in which you are applying. The application can be downloaded here or obtained at the Human Resources Office.
Applications may be hand carried (by current ID card holders), mailed or faxed to
the 6th Services Squadron Human Resources Office.

NOTE: On Tuesdays, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., a representative from the Human Resources Office will be at the Visitor’s Center (near the Dale Mabry gate) to meet with those who do not have access to the base. The representative will be available to discuss current openings, provide and accept applications, and answer any questions that you may have. |
Child and Youth Program Positions
Child Development, School Age Program Assistant, and all positions located within these facilities require additional information. These forms must be submitted with the NAF Application.

Preferences
Military Spouse Preference (MSP), Transition Hiring Preference (THP) and Veteran applicants may receive employment preference; the Human Resources Office will determine eligibility. Proof/Verification must be submitted with your application for preference consideration.

Current 6 SVS NAF Employees
Current NAF employees who wish to apply for other positions, may submit an AF Form 2550, Application for Promotion or Other Position Change. Employees are encouraged to review their Official Personnel Folder (OPF) to assure they have the work experience/training documented in their record to qualify for the position for which applying. A resume or separate sheet may be attached to the AF Form 2550. The application remains on file until the employee changes positions, request its removal or the employee is separated. If the employee does not qualify for the position for the position the application will be returned.
Active Duty Military
Active duty military members are required to process an AF Form 3902, Application and Approval for Off Duty Employment, please check with your orderly room. Commissioned and Warrant Officers are not eligible for appointment while on active duty.
Additional Information
Applications are kept on file for 90 days, after the 90 days they become inactive. If you wish to reapply for the same position at a later date, you may do so by submitting a new application.
To update and/or extend your application beyond the 90 days, you must contact the Human Resources Office prior to the 90 day expiration.
It is your responsibility to make copies of your application, forms, diploma, orders, etc.
